Jakarta, April 21, 2026 – The Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, in collaboration with KompasTV, once again presents the Anugerah Puspa Bangsa 2026, an initiative aimed at recognizing inspiring Indonesian women for their tangible contributions to society and the nation.
Upholding the spirit of women’s empowerment, this award not only serves as a form of recognition but also as a platform to highlight the strategic role of women as drivers of change across various sectors. Award recipients are selected based on several key criteria, including achievements, the ability to inspire, commitment and consistency, as well as social impact.
At the Anugerah Puspa Bangsa 2026, the Puspa Adi Daya award was honored to Kataline Darmono, Managing Director of Khong Guan Group, and was handed directly by Meutya Hafid, Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
Kataline Darmono is recognized as a female leader who demonstrates impactful, innovative, and consistent leadership in driving change within her industry. She has successfully preserved and developed Khong Guan Group as a legendary Indonesian brand that remains relevant amid evolving times.
For 56 years, Khong Guan Group has consistently maintained product quality and consumer trust, while strengthening its position as a part of everyday life for Indonesian families across generations. Under Kataline Darmono’s leadership, Khong Guan Group continues to adapt through product innovation and by enhancing its competitiveness in the national food industry.
This recognition at Anugerah Puspa Bangsa 2026 also marks a strategic milestone for Khong Guan to further reinforce its position as a legendary brand that remains relevant, modern, and committed to contributing positively to Indonesia’s food industry.
In response to the award, Kataline Darmono shared her perspective on the role of women in today’s industrial landscape.
“Women today play an increasingly strategic role, not only as part of the system but as drivers of change. In the industry, women bring strong perspectives, from empathy and attention to detail to the ability to see opportunities more holistically,” she said.
She also emphasized that women do not need to change who they are in order to lead. “Women do not need to alter their identity to lead; in fact, their strength lies in their uniqueness,” she added.
In a business context, Kataline highlighted the importance of balancing legacy and innovation.
“Khong Guan’s strength lies in its consistent quality and emotional connection with the Indonesian people. At the same time, we continue to adapt through product innovation, strengthening distribution, and understanding the needs of younger generations. For us, staying relevant does not mean leaving our legacy behind, but ensuring that these values remain alive and meaningful across generations,” she explained.
Taking place in conjunction with Kartini Day, this recognition serves as a reminder of the vital role women play in driving national progress. It is hoped that more Indonesian women will be inspired to continue creating, leading, and making a positive impact on society.
